Civil Court Users Association (CCUA) Chair Rob Thompson has received a letter from HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) providing an update on changes to small claims mediation.
A practice direction came into force on Wednesday 22 May, making mediation a requirement for most small claims cases up to the value of £10,000. The letter reminds court users of these changes and provides further information about the form that will need to be used from this date.
