Civil Court Users Association (CCUA) has responded to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) consultation on ‘taking control of goods regulations’.
In its response, CCUA says:
It is essential that enforcement is adequately resourced in order to safeguard the interests of all court users. Enforcement must be firm and effective, whilst also being fair and proportionate. It is essential to recognize what steps have previously occurred in each situation, to avoid unnecessary processes and the repetition of steps which have previously been taken. This could otherwise cause unnecessary inefficiency, delay, expense, poor
outcome, harm to court users and harm to the environment.
