HM Courts & Tribunal Service (HMCTS) would like to remind Civil Court Users Association (CCUA) Members that, from 28 July 2025, it became mandatory for legal representatives to issue claims that are eligible for Online Money Claims (OCMC) on either OCMC or Money Claim Online (MCOL). Paper claims can still be processed at the Civil National Business Centre (CNBC) if they do not meet the eligibility criteria for issuing on OCMC.

HMCTS sent letters out via CNBC distribution lists in February, May and July but have apologised to court users who have not had sight of these.

Please note that any paper claims or responses/documents filed eligible to be issued or responded to on OCMC will no longer be accepted on paper and will be returned to sender.
