As previously reported by CCUA, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) confirmed that, with effect from 14 August 2023, the County Court Money Claim Centre (CCMCC) and County Court Business Centre (CCBC) were being replaced by the creation of the Civil National Business Centre (CNBC).
The MoJ has now provided a mid-way progress update on its recovery plan for the CNBC, stating: “We remain confident we will be fully within target by December in line with our previously shared aim.”
Alongside reducing arrears the team has been working closely and holding ‘surgeries’ with a number of stakeholders to resolve specific issues and challenges they have been experiencing and are extending this service to other users who are experiencing specific problems. Those who are interested should contact Martin Huddleston on martin.huddleston@justice.gov.uk.
Robert Thompson, Chair, Civil Court Users Association (CCUA), comments:
“The delays in the Civil National Business Centre have been causing considerable inconvenience and frustration to court users. This update is therefore extremely welcome and it is pleasing to see the efforts and progress being made.”
